<<There are, I suppose, stories full of brilliance, hilarity, and longing--the stories in MB Caschetta's terrific Pretend You're My Friend are full of all these things--but I can't remember when I've read a collection so full of life. Actual life: the bad jokes, the astounding velocity, the sweetness and darkness. You will love the characters here the way you love your own family: complicatedly, with tenderness, understanding, and consternation. The only difference may be how willing--and eager--you are to introduce them to friends. Good heavens, this book is good. >> --Elizabeth McCracken, author of Thunderstruck

It was very fun to tour with Miracle Girls. Here are the posters of the readings I gave, the parties I had. Thanks to Deanna Washington for her fine designs.
It was a lovely party with tiny gluten free cupcakes that had pink frosting to match the book. Lots of great people came to celebrate for the final reading. I am so happy with this year! Thank you to everyone who read and supported Miracle Girls!
Miracle Girls wins Amsterdam, Paris & San Francisco Book Festivals in the Spiritual Category!5/12/2015 The Independent Publisher's Award honored Miracle Girls with a gold medal in the religious fiction category. In related news, Miracle Girls won The Amsterdam Book Festival's spiritual book category. It's all so nice and a little overwhelming!
A reading with (left to right): Lenelle Moise (poetry), Judy Frank (gay fiction), me (lesbian fiction), Sally Bellerose (LGBT anthology) with our moderator of the evening, Susan Stinson. What a great reading! What a great night! Will report back from the awards on June 1st and let you know who wins in our categories.
