Literary Rejections on Display
In 2007, I started an anonymous lit blog called Literary Rejections on Display at blogspot as Writer, Rejected (see green frowny face). This was before people posted their own personal rejection letters. That made some blog readers and industry professionals upset, excited and threatening. People said it couldn't and shouldn't be done. They said I would get sued. They said: "You'll never get published in this town again." (Hardly a threat, since not getting published was the sad point of my blog.) Entertainment Weekly took note: "Failure is the new funny!" as did many other media outlets. It even won a 101 Best Websites for Writers in 2014 (note: after someone finally decided my novel was publishing worthy)
In 2020, I turned it into a fun vlog with video posts about a writer in captivity (me during the pandemic lockdown). Unfortch, I got COVID which turned into long COVID, and the whole thing is documented in videos for better or for worse.
Since I am still struggling, I have closed down Literary Rejections on Display and am using it to blog about long COVID, about which there is not enough information. So that's what's going on. Why not check it out for yourself? www.literaryrejectionsondisplay.blogplost.com
