Literary Rejections on Display
In 2007, I started an anonymous lit blog called Literary Rejections on Display at blogsplot as Writer, Rejected (see green frowny face above). This was before people posted their own personal rejection letters. That made some blog readers and industry professionals upset, excited and threatening. People said it couldn't and shouldn't be done. They said I would get sued. They said: "You'll never get published in this town again." (Hardly a threat, since not getting published was the sad point of my blog.) Entertainment Weekly took note: "Failure is the new funny!" as did many other media outlets. It even won a 101 Best Websites for Writers in 2014 (note: after someone finally decided my novel was publishing worthy). I still post there once in awhile.
