Responding to your story in NY Times, I too was "disinherited" by my Dad (2002). Similar to your experience, there was a family farm as the prized possession to be excluded. Around 2018, my sister without elaboration casually suggested I had killed my mother who died of non Hodgkin Lymphoma in 1977. I was her primary caretaker as the stay at home son, working but less than two years out of college, My sister refused to answer my questions about whether Dad shared this bizarre accusation. Nothing surprises me in our dysfunctional family. Some European nations (France) forbid disinheritance. They have the right idea.
